Richard B. Cheney has been a public servant for a long time and is also an entrepreneur who has made a name for himself. Cheney is currently the Vice-President of the United States. Cheney was well-known in Washington's political scene. George W. Bush would be his Fourth U.S. President. Bush appointed Cheney as his vice-presidential running mate in 2000, owing to Cheney's intelligence and judgment. Dick Cheney was a chief of staff to presidents. He also was a member of the United States Congress as Secretary of Defense and served the nation in various roles. Republicans and Democrats all respect his honesty. Cheney stated that his role in the Bush administration will be that of an honest but quiet adviser. Cheney declared his delight at taking the Republican vice-presidential nomination. He stated that the future is bright for him working with a person who is able to work together with people of different political views and with shared goal. Richard Bruce Cheney is the son Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born January 30, 1941, in Lincoln Nebraska. At the age of 13 Richard and his family relocated out of Nebraska and moved to Casper where his dad was head of Casper's U.S. Department of Agriculture local district for soil conservation.
