Jennifer Garner, born April 17th, 1972 in Houston, Texas, was born in Charleston West Virginia. William John Garner worked as an chemist at Union Carbide. Patricia Ann was a teacher at the local university. In the hopes of following the footsteps of her father, she graduated with a degree in chemical engineering. To pursue her acting dream and pursue her acting career, she decided to relocate into New York and try her hand in the world of Hollywood. When she was not appearing in Broadway shows, she worked as waitress. Garner was a small part on "Felicity" (where it was that she first met Scott Foley). Garner made her mark with the romantic comedy "13 going on thirty" where she played a teenager trapped in a 30 year-old's body. Garner selected Gary Winick for the role as director. They continued to work in other films up when Winick's death in the year 2011. Garner was named an artist ambassador to Save the Children U.S.A. Role includes national literacy promotion along with nutrition, early childhood education, and many various other aspects. Garner has been on this board since the year 2014. Garner promotes early childhood education. Garner has visited many families as part of Early Steps to School Success the program created to help parents understand how to support their child's education - acting as an ambassador.
